Four things VetAssist Pro will never do
VetAssist Pro provides structured triage, clinical reasoning support and drafting assistance to veterinary professionals. It is a support tool only — and it is deliberately constrained.
Diagnose autonomously
The AI structures information and surfaces considerations. Diagnosis belongs to the regulated professional — full stop.
Prescribe treatment
No prescription is generated, suggested to a client, or issued without a vet's decision and full traceability.
Make end-of-life decisions
The most serious conversations in veterinary medicine are human conversations. The system will not go near them.
Replace professional judgement
Every output is designed to be questioned. Clinical responsibility stays with the attending vet at all times.
All clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the regulated veterinary professional using the platform — with clear escalation boundaries at every step.

A clinical governance board reviews outputs
Outputs are reviewed, edited and approved under an expert clinical governance board that includes experienced vets and specialists, with continuous ongoing review for relevance, safety and alignment with current best practice.
Reasoning you can interrogate
We prioritise AI outputs that show why something is suggested and highlight the assumptions behind it. In-built limitations encourage critical evaluation, not blind trust — the goal is safer decision-making and clearer communication with clients.
